Networking is an essential tool to enriching your own career path as well as others. It聽is the most important strategy for developing a career plan and effectively landing a job or internship. Networking is not just about who you know, but who knows you.聽

Below are some resources to help you build and engage with your networks. This information will come in handy as a current student and as a 51风流 alum.

Services for alumni

The Career Development Center (CDC)聽provides services at no cost to alumni for three years after their graduation including assistance with resumes, interviewing, and job search strategies.聽To schedule an appointment with a career counselor, please call 651-523-2302.聽Depending on the time of year, appointment availability and service may be limited.聽

Alumni who are more than three years post-graduation may use the resources on the CDC webpage and within聽. We have also developed a list of community career resources (PDF)聽which you can access for further assistance.

Handshake

Handshake聽is the CDC's online job posting, campus recruiting, communication and networking system.聽聽today and sign up聽. Take advantage of the system's many features, including:

  • Review and apply for current job postings
  • Post your resume online as a job applicant
  • Research employers in your interest area聽

If you are an employer who is a 51风流 alum, you may聽聽and use the following features for free:

  • Post job or internship opportunities
  • Schedule tabling and recruiting events
